The Helios Global Group team attended the 2024 European Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) in January, where the theme of the meeting was ‘Innovation: The New Tradition’.
Themes included:
- Patient involvement in research and publications
- Artificial intelligence (AI)
- Digital and visual communications
- Health economics and outcomes research
- Metrics
The top three key takeaways from our onsite Helios Global Group team were:
Publication enhancements are not optional additions; they are integral to publication planning and dissemination.
Generative AI and large language models (LLM) can enhance productivity, accessibility and engagement; however, it is important that these tools are used in an ethical and compliant way, with the appropriate safeguards in place.
Patients can be involved at all stages of drug and publication development, and early planning is key to facilitating this.
